Anna Nicole Smith Wrongful Death

We all hope to live long and die a peaceful death in our sleep. Many times this not the case. In some instancesand, the unexpected death can be blamed on a person or action of another. Those cases are often termed wrongful deaths.

Anna Nicole Smith, 39, died Thursday after collapsing in a hotel room in Hollywood, Fla. According to USA Today her mother blamed drugs for Anna Nicole Smith unexpected death.

According to the USA Today, Edwina Johnson, chief investigator of the Broward County medical examiner's office, says officials plan to announce the preliminary results from an autopsy performed by chief medical examiner Joshua Perper. Johnson says that if Smith died of natural causes, findings will likely be announced quickly. But he says the cause of death could require further tests.

The head investigator in the Broward county coroners and medical examiner’s department has yet to announce results from the initial autopsy. The cause of death, however, may not be established immediately due to the wait for toxicology results. According to police, a personal nurse of Anna Nicole Smith walked in on the unconscious ex-playmate sometime in the afternoon and promptly dialed authorities. Although she was administered CPR at the scene by her employees and taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, all efforts were to no avail. Anna Nicole Smith was pronounced dead at 2:49 p.m.
